LDN Wrestling pulled off a PR win, grabbing headlines across the media spectrum with the return of World of Sport Wrestling legend Kendo Nagasaki. Nagasaki made history by breaking the Guinness World Record as the oldest professional wrestler in the world.

From The Sun’s "NAGA TOO OLD: Masked Wrestling Legend Kendo Nagasaki Breaks Guinness World Record to Become Oldest Professional Wrestler in History" to The Telegraph’s feature "Kendo Nagasaki: I Would Wear My Mask in the Shower to Maintain the Mystery," the range of interest is rare in the pro wresting world.
What truly stood out to me was the compelling story behind the match itself. LDN Wrestling promotor Sanjay Bagga, and Kendo Nagasaki have a long-standing feud that dates back nearly two decades.
“There’s a bit of history between myself and Kendo from 17 years ago, and he slagged me off in his book, which led us to this big match,” Bagga told The Sun. “I didn’t think it would lead to this, but the public demanded it and said the fight between us needed to be resolved.”
This layered backstory added drama.
One thing I did pick up on in the Telegraph’s reporting was the paper's claim that Bagga is "one of just a handful of promoters left," which just isn't right. There are hundreds of active promoters revitalizing wrestling across the UK.
Kudos to LDN Wrestling for seizing on the opportunity.
