AEW Wants to Air Dynamite Live on ITV

the words 'ITV Wrestlig

During the All In London Media Call, AEW CEO Tony Khan was asked whether there had been efforts to broadcast the Cardiff edition of Dynamite (21st August) live in the UK.

Khan explained, “It’s not legal for me to air the show live in the UK before it airs for those who pay 97% of our TV rights fees—Warner Brothers Discovery. They have the legal first right to broadcast the show. I can’t air Dynamite anywhere before it goes out on TBS and TNT, nor should I. TBS and TNT have been excellent partners for us. FITE has experienced some streaming issues at times, though.

“I would love to air Dynamite at some point on ITV, ideally at the same time it airs on TBS and TNT".

"But I can’t jump ahead of our primary media partner. In pro wrestling, TV rights are a massive part of the business and generate much of the revenue, alongside tentpole events like AEW All In. Ideally, I would want to simulcast the show, but that would still be quite late here in the UK, with a 1 AM start time, which isn’t ideal.”
